Homecoming
Hello, Haniedu! This time I have come back with 'Homecoming'!
안녕하세요, 하니에듀! 이번에는 Homecoming 이라는 주제로 돌아왔어요!
Homecoming is probably the biggest party occasion besides prom. Going to homecoming is one of the memorable thing you can do as an exchange student when you are in American high schools. As you know, there aren't this kind of party in Korea when you're in high school.
홈커밍은 Prom 을 제외하고, 가장 큰 파티라고 할 수 있어요. 홈커밍에 가는 것은 교환학생으로서 미국
고등학교에서 경험 할 수 있는 것들 중 하나에요. 아시다시피, 한국 고등학교에는 이런 파티가 없어요ㅠㅠ

이 사진은 사실 홈커밍 때 yearbook 회원이 찍은 사진이고, 이번 년도 yearbook 에 실렸어요!
What fun about homecoming starts when you go shopping for dresses, shoes, and party make-up. And it goes on with gathering with friends to prepare.
(Honestly, I thought it wasn't worth of buying 100 dollars of dress and 60 dollars of shoes just to go to prom. So I've looked for cheeper clothes and one of my friends actually said she would let me borrow her dress for homecoming!!)
After I got all the dress and shoes, I went to Giulia's house. Giulia is the Italian exchange student from Italy. The three of us, Giulia (from Italy), Akma (from kazakhstan), and me got prepared for homecoming.
홈커밍의 묘미는 파티를 위한 드레스와 구두, 그리고 파티 메이크업 쇼핑을 가는 것부터 시작한답니다.
친구들과 모여서 준비하는 것도요 :)
(솔직히 홈커밍이라는 하나의 파티를 위해서 100달러씩이나 하는 드레스나 60 달러씩이나 하는 구두를 사는 것은 약간 돈낭비라고 생각이 들었어요. 그래서 좀 더 싼 곳을 찾아다녔죠 :P
그리고 제 친구가 홈커밍 때 자신의 드레스를 빌려주었어요!)
드레스와 구두를 구한 후, 줄리아라는 이탈리아 교환학생 집에서 , Akma (카자흐스탄 교환학생), 줄리아와 저는 홈커밍을 위한 준비를 했어요.
After we got prepared, we gathered in the living room and took a few pictures!
준비를 마친 후, 거실에서 몇 장의 사진을 찍었어요!

개인 사진도 따로 찍었는데, 왼쪽이 줄리아이고 오른쪽이 저에요! Akma는 개인사진을 따로 찍지 않았었던 듯 해요.
Before we put on our shoes, we took a few pictures.
마지막으로 구두를 신기 전에 사진을 몇 장 찍었어요.
Now I have come to homecoming. We had to pay 10 dollars each at a doorway to enter. I felt like I had been in club when I was in homecoming. The school had invited special DJ to play some music and our cafeteria was specially set up. The place was full with people dancing with special lights.
There were some group dances that we all danced in special moves, such as 'Cha cha slide' and 'Cupid Shuffle'.
홈커밍에 들어섰을 때, 학교 정문에서 각자 10달러를 내고 들어갈 수 있어요. 여기의 홈커밍은 마치...클럽 같아요. 학교에서 특별히 DJ를 섭외해서 노래들을 틀고, 학교 식당이 특별히 제조됐었죠.
특별한 조명과 함께 사람들로 가득 찼었어요.
노래 중에서 "Cha Cha slide" 나 "Cupid Shuffle" 같이 그룹으로 같이 출 수 있는 노래들도 있었어요.

I've been going around during homecoming when it was almost over to take pictures with my friends!
홈커밍 파티가 거의 끝나갈 때 즈음, 돌아다니면서 친구들과 사진을 찍었어요!!
