Hey guys!
This is Min Kyoung Cho, who's currently in a small town called Chickasha in Oklahoma! Hope y'all are feeling superb right now and excited that you're just about to see one of the most amazing work of all times! Haha just kidding!
But anyways I'm planning to write just a brief intro of myself to start with!
I'm half-nervous, and half-excited about writing my very FIRST article here! Well, I hope this gives you guys some tips in the near future!!;)

MIN CHO

OK, so I'm Min, aged 15, placed as a junior here at Chickasha High School (CHS), (where purple and gold is our school colors which are REALLY important here), and is simply LOVING the life here! It's been past 7 months now since I came here on the 9th of August. Wow, time flies by pretty fast here LOL. So, that's a little brief intro of me and I'll divide some topics up and introduce them to ya!:)

SCHEDULE

We have something called a "block schedule" which the purpose of this is basically to avoid students from having the same classes everyday. So for us, we have A, B, and C days. Our 8 classes are divided into 2 to A and B days. On our C days (which are normally on Fridays), we have all 8 classes in that one day but only shorter hours per class. Hopefully you got what I was trying to say! Even if you haven't, don't worry cuz not all schools have this policy:)

Anyways! The classes I take would be, AP English, AP Calculus(AP classes are higher level classes which gives you extra credit for college), Vocal Music (OR choir), Physiology, Chemistry, US History, Biology, and finally, SOCCER!!!!!!

SPORTS
I did play volleyball for the Fall season sports and it was awesome!:)
These are a few shots we took after winning second at the state tournaments.
This shot's the very "nice-looking" one wihch came out on the newspapers the following day..

And this shot's our "silly-face" one which I preferably like better;D

And this shot's from our first soccer game where I was the captain, keeping the yellow badge-like tag to show that I'm the captain:)

I felt as if I was flying over the moon!

We won this game too and it was the BEST day of my life!

PIGS
I also showed pigs which is in the AGRICULTURAL field.

Since I'm currently not taking any agricultral classes, I can't be in FFA but I am in 4H which is another system of the agricultral field. My host family first suggested this to me due to my host sister shows pigs too! At first, I was kind of unsure about the whole thing about pigs and showing them, but now, at the point where pig season's over too, (Our pig season started in mid-October) Im really glad that I did it and sad that it's over.

My last pig show was actually a couple of days ago. The WORLD'S BIGGEST JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW, the OYE in Oklahoma City was from the 12th of March through the 18th. The pigs' section was from the 16th to the 18th. I'll stop at this point and explain what pig showing is cuz I bet most of you guys are like, "What on earth is pig showing???" Cuz that's what I was thinking before too.

SO, It doesn't necessarily have to be "pig showing." It could be anything really. You could show pigs, cattles, sheeps, and lots more. (Though those are the most popular kinds.) Once you have one of those, which for me, was a pig, and specifically, the breed of a Hampshire, you train them. You normally get them when they are really little, as a baby. And then, you feed them a limit of feed every 2 times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Then, when they grow a bit, you walk them and make them build muscles! You bathe them, pick the pins, and brush them. Then, at a show, you walk your animal around the judge and they see if it has enough muscles and everything and gives you a grade and place you. In some shows they even give you a reward of money! I got 50 bucks for placing second in one of the shows! And there are auctions for that pig if you have placed at the top 2 or 3 and mine was in it too and it got sold for 500 dollars that day! In this sale, the pigs didn't have to be really sold. It was just meant for a donation.

This is a picture of a show. There's a judge at the side and the students drive their pigs around the judge for a good view for him or her.

That's a vague description but I LOVED it. It is a lot of hard work because you have to get up earlier before school to feed them ,and then go after school to the barn and walk them for at least 30 minutes and bathe them and brush them and feed them. It takes about a good 2~3 hours. This part was a little bit hard during school cuz I'd be exhausted after soccer, then I'd have to go straight to the pig barn and then come back home after a while so I'd be really tired everyday and difficult to do homework but I tried my best and did a good job on it:)

As you grow pigs, you really start to feel as close to the pigs.

Mine's as if he's my baby boy!:)
